Via Disc NP
VIA Disc NP is a minimally invasive, non-surgical treatment designed to address chronic low back pain caused by intervertebral disc degeneration. Developed by VIVEX Biologics, this procedure involves injecting a processed human nucleus pulposus (NP) allograft into the affected disc. The allograft, which mimics the natural, water-rich structure of healthy disc tissue, is prepared in a sterile, closed system to minimize contamination risks. Delivered under fluoroscopic guidance, the injection supplements the degenerated disc, aiming to restore its cushioning function and alleviate pain. This outpatient procedure typically requires only local anesthesia or light sedation and allows patients to resume daily activities within a few days.
